Testimonials About Dan

We would like to thank you for being our D.J. at our wedding this past 4th of July. You did an “Amazing” job from our first meeting to the last dance. You were able to get everyone on the dance floor and kept them there all night! On top of all that, we really enjoyed when you sang. You were a big reason why our wedding went so well and we can’t thank you enough.

ATBGO exclusive "Perfect Wedding Process"

05/01/2012 12:50 pm by Dan Cavanaugh

What is it and why is it so successful?

Well, it's pretty simple. It is a 3 meeting system that I developed several years ago to help accomplish my mission of giving my brides & grooms the wedding of their dreams, an event that the family would always remember and a party that friends would talk about for years to come. Each week I meet couples that are in the beginning stages of searching for the right DJ, and I know to them it is not easy. You may have asked yourself," Where do I start"?

Not only are you looking for someone that has a great reputation, with great referrals and years of experience, but you also want someone reliable. Someone they can relate to. Someone they can trust. Wouldn't it be nice to find someone who cares about your wedding reception as much as you do?

You need a professional who is going to help you plan a format of your day that works for you, your family, your venue, all in a time frame that is friendly and sensitive to your guest. You need a professional that has only one goal in mind. To make sure that you're wedding is great! And that is only achieved by me earning your trust, so I can professionally enhance your day. And I have 3 meetings to do that. Now, I can tell you that I am all over New England and I have seen it all. Fantastic venues, really nice venues, just ok venues & places I will never go to again. I've seen all these places ran by banquet mgrs who were awesome and totally get it, to banquet mgs who were totally in the wrong business, rude and arrogant to the point of making MY bride cry. Nice ha? So with that said, it takes years to become an expert at anything. So then I guess that is what my Brides & Grooms look to me as.

Though I am only 45 years old, I have been in the wedding industry for 32 years. I can't even believe that I am typing that, nor can I believe that it is even true, but it is. Since age 13 I observed the timing and flow of weddings from some of the very best wedding professionals. So when I go to a new facility that I have never been to before, I try to establish a positive relationship with the person in charge of the room and subtly let them know that the Bride & Groom have worked closely with me over the last year & a half, preparing a format that is perfect for her day. Sounds like I'm a wedding planner. Probably as close as you can get to one, but it is not how I identify myself. I just know what works & what probably won't work, and when I give in to what I knew was not going to work, because someone talked my bride into doing it that way, oh my God is that a long ride home for me. What I want at the end of the day are comments like these:

"Everybody had a great time."
"The dance floor was packed all night long."
"My friends say it was the best wedding they ever went to."
"We will never forget what you did for us" "You made so easy for us."

So when we meet, it's not a matter of me trying to book a wedding on that day, it is an opportunity for me to begin to earn your trust so I can help create that Perfect Wedding Day.
